Moeraki was a finalist in the 2019 Australian jewellery design awards. Captivated by the beauty of the ancient, spherical Moeraki boulders, revealed in the receding tide of Koekohe Beach, north of Dunedin. Maori legend has it that these boulders were gourds washed ashore when the Araiteuru canoe was wrecked, hundreds of years ago. Set in platinum, jet black Spinels, surrounded by an array of diamonds, perfectly depict these iconic boulders amidst the ebbing tide. This concept is also showcased in matching Moeraki earrings.
